Seniors:
Requirements for the Millennium Scholarship have changed for the Class of 2016.
Students may qualify based on sufficient SAT or ACT test scores.
If a student does not meet the 3.25 cumulative g.p.a. requirement, but tests above a 990 on the reading and math portion of the SAT or above a composite score of 21 on the ACT they can waive the g.p.a. requirement.
Juniors:
There are several opportunities to visit campuses this spring.
Grand Canyon University is planning on offering a Discover GCU trip April 15th-16th.
Students fly down to GCU on a Friday, spend Friday night in the dorms, and fly back to Reno on Saturday. GCU covers the cost of the plane tickets and does an excellent job of showing students the campus. Parents are welcome to visit at the same time, but they need to make their own travel arrangements.
Please send Dr. Seddon an email (tseddon@slhs.com) if you are interested.
UNR hosts an Open House for juniors called Nevada Bound. If enough students register for the March 11th date, then transportation will be provided by SLHS. If your son/daughter is interested in visiting UNR and hearing more about their major, sign-up for the March 11th date at the website below and send Dr. Seddon an email (tseddon@slhs.com) to let her know that you signed up.
