Step 1: Set Goals
Goals help to keep you going by:
- Creating groundwork for the direction you need to go in
- Giving you a focus point
- Helping motivate you
- Reducing your anxiety
- increasing your confidence
Step 2: Positive Attitude
- Be positive! You can succeed.
- Get excited about learning and curious about the subject.
- Ask questions. Have an inquiring mind.
- Have an inquiring mind: get curious about your subjects!
Step 3: Manage Your Time
- Set a realistic schedule for yourself
- Know where your time goes (awareness is key)
- Study for 1-2 hours for every hour of class time (e.g.. if you have 3 hours of class per week, aim to study at least 3-6 hours per week).

- We are here for you. Your Success Advocates can help you. Our doors are open. It can make a big difference, as many students discover. You can see Mrs., Murphy (Dean of Students), Mr. Klubben (Success Advocate), Mrs. Estee (College and Career Counselor), and we will have more support here on campus on day 1 of this academic year.
